As the alumni association of the Commonwealth Management Institute, the Commonwealth Managers Association’s mission is to promote professional development and networking opportunities for managers within Virginia state and local governments.
CMI participants acquire the necessary tools to be innovative, creative and forward-thinking. The association continues this learning process while enhancing the ability of midlevel leaders and managers to operate in and adapt to the rapidly changing environment of government.
Through conferences and other educational events, the CMA provides continuous training and development opportunities for midlevel Virginia state and local government employees and also serves as a vehicle to build and maintain a peer network.
