PMG offers an integrated series of development programs for staff at varying levels.
The Virginia Government Leadership Summit (VGLS) is a new offering by PMG. This four-day event fosters a different framework that focuses on conversation, reading, reflection, writing, and self-development. We use the theme of moral courage in our conversations to develop a personal examination of our own abilities, challenges, and goals.
It is our hope to create one of the most intimate, community focused experiences possible through both indoor and outdoor creative activities, periods of reflection, journaling, and connection with peers. We want people to think deeply, coach each other, and be inspired to do even better as leaders upon return to the workplace.
Director of PMG, Jim Burke, PhD, notes "it is an exciting opportunity to offer this new addition by the Performance Management Group. We need to keep providing our state workforce with experiences that grow their thinking and their leadership abilities. At the Wilder School, we are committed to lifelong learning with a special focus on those who serve in the public sector." Jim and Associate Director, Linda Pierce, MBA, lead the 4 day VGLS program.
Upon acceptance to the VGLS, please review the Cost, Policies, and Checklists to help you prepare for the class.
